An interdisciplinary examination of the historical and current functioning of the American criminal justice system and the ways that society has created and applied different practices and standards of justice with regard to marginalized populations.
Prerequisites: C or better in AFAM 201.
AFAM 515  - Race, Gender, and Graphic Novels  (3 Credits)  
Representations of race and gender in comics with a special emphasis on the experiences of African Americans.

The major movements, figures, plays, and critical strategies that have marked the development of African American theatre in the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries.
Prerequisites: ENGL 101, ENGL 102, and one course between ENGL 270 - ENGL 292.
