Students not in an SEOE major may minor in environmental studies to expand their options for employment or graduate school through knowledge and skills related to human and environment interactions. Students in the minor gain understanding of complex environmental problems that intersect with multiple social and scientific disciplines. Students learn to make sound analyses and judgments about interdisciplinary environmental challenges and to develop sustainable solutions that integrate social and economic needs with scientific and technical understanding.
A student may pursue a minor in Environmental Studies with the academic advisor’s approval. The student must declare the selection of the minor in the office of the student’s major academic dean.
