English Minor

The English minor provides students advanced skills in writing, interpretation and critical thinking — skills vital to a 21st century career in a wide range of fields. Courses in literature, creative writing, professional writing and rhetoric, media studies, and linguistics equip students for careers that value creativity, writing and the communication of complex ideas. An English minor is beneficial for students heading into almost any industry and pairs well with primary areas of study as diverse as political science, history, pre-law, public relations, journalism, management and administration, theater and media arts, among other fields.
