Neuroscience
The Neuroscience program offers both a major and a minor that provide a strong background in the multiple scientific disciplines used to study the nervous system. The interdisciplinary coursework and research experience encourage critical thinking and problem solving, promote understanding of modern neuroscience and prepare students for entry into a variety of careers and graduate programs.
Through the Neuroscience program, students develop a strong background in the workings of the nervous system, from the cellular and molecular level to the social and behavioral level. Both the major and minor are ideal for students who intend to pursue graduate studies in neuroscience, animal behavior, psychology or medicine.
